We are very sad to share the news of the passing of one of the orchestra’s founding Honorary Board members, legendary Italian film composer Ennio Morricone who died this morning at the age of 91. “I am forever indebted to Maestro Morricone for his commitment since our founding in 2007. And we will always play his sublime music, which has greatly influenced me as a composer. I will never forget our conversations.” – Music Director Salvatore Di Vittorio

Below are two of our performances of Ennio Morricone‘s music. We also share this photo of orchestra manager and violist, Santa Maria Pecoraro, who had played on Maestro Morricone‘s film score The Legend of 1900.
